Source / copyright: Anon / The Assam Tribune, Guwahati Sections: Society / Mizoram AIZAWL, March 29: Drug abuse has claimed 89 lives in Mizoram during the past one year, minister in-charge of excise K Vanlalauva told the state Legislative Assembly. According to the minister, while 77 of the victims were men 12 women. Altogether 69 deaths took place in the Aizawl district itself while only one person each died in the Serchhip and Mamit district. Most of the victims died due to the overdose of Proxyvon, a highly Potent pain-killer taken intravenously, the minister added.
